Gairo Vecchio (Gairu)

Tällä paikalle kun on omistettu oma wikipedia-sivunsakin niin sijainnin salailu lienee turhaa. Tosin matka näihin kylänraunioihin huonojarruisella Fiat Ducatolla muistutti uhrauksista, joita UE:n eteen on tehtävä - kuin krapulaista bussimatkaa Nekalaan katsomaan suljettua Turun munaa ("äiti mua huimaa").

Gairo hylättiin 1950-luvulla lukuisten sortumien ja mutavyöryjen vuoksi, viereen rakennettiin uusi Gairo (Gairo Sant'Elena) ja osa porukasta siirtyi alamaille Cardeduun. Uudelleen rakentaminen maksettiin Marshall Plan:sta.

Mutta asiaan, kuvia vankkaan perinteiseen tapaan ilman filttereitä ja rajaukset on tehty kuvaa otettaessa.

Sawmill, Parkano

No decade, no post.

A abandoned sawmill somewhere around Parkano. Trying to get forgotten. Newest calendar on the wall was from year 2002, some contracts were still made with maintenance in 2003. Nothing much had happened since. Slow decay.

By the way, it was pretty nice to be on a site for a long time...

Kupari, Croatia

In this case we can be pretty open about the location of this place, since it has several articles written about it as well as a wikipedia page. And, to be frank, there were about 300 other visitors (at least at the beach) at the time I went there. The (short) history of the place is that Tito had it built/renovated for his military elite. After the civil war (see the bullet marks in the 1st picture) it has been laying abandoned. So, certainly not a discovery, but interesting none the less.
